Rate: 9 Description: This is an amazing resort all themed around the art of Disney. Each room is extremely detailed- from the sheets and beds, to the table and chairs, wall decals, and even the shower! Every room is designed to take you into the world of the film theme of your building. Like the other Disney resorts, it is spread out with a lobby, cafeteria, and gift shop in one central building. The pools are spread out and there is a beautiful lake. It is right by the Pop Century resort and you can walk over a little bridge to get there. Tips: Explore the hotel. There are huge statues of different characters from the Lion King, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and more. Also, check out the largest Disney Resort pool- the Big Blue Pool! It is Finding Nemo themed. There also is a smaller Little Mermaid themed pool where guests can enjoy a peaceful, quiet atmosphere.

Price: Premium (Upwards of $200 a night) Rate: 10 Description: This is a classy and elegant resort and by far one of Disney’s, even Florida’s finest. The lobby is beautiful and has comfortable seating. There are gift shops and snack shops and incredible restaurants that range from affordable (The Fountain) to upscale (Wolfgang Puck’s). This is a quiet resort and is recommended if you want a relaxing getaway after being at the parks all day. The Swan and the Dolphin are both marvelous, but the Dolphin has the best suit (Michael Jackson stayed here in the early 2000’s). Also, the resort is great for convenience, because you can catch a boat, or walk just about 10 minutes to the Boardwalk. You can also hop over to Disney Springs fairly quickly. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Outside, there are white-sand beaches and lakes that have lush landscaping. The three main pools are all connected and are surrounded by waterfalls and hot tubs. There is a just a plain open pool, then a large center pool with a huge waterfall and a little cave that you can lay under, and that connects to a pool with a net for volleyball. There is a shallow pool specified just for little ones, and a lap pool for those who wish to exercise. I have stayed at several hotels and resorts from all around the world, and still, this resort is my favorite. It is Tips: If you have little ones, or just enjoy meeting characters, I would highly recommend eating at Garden Grove. The characters there appear on Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast and every night for dinner. Your old favorites are there- Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale. It is an amazing time and the atmosphere is magical. 1/15/2017 0 Comments Caribbean beach resortPrice: Moderate
Rate: 7 Description: This is a colorful, vibrant resort with lots of fun activities. There is a place for little kids to play, beaches with hammocks, and a boat to take you around the canals and lakes- there is something for everyone! They also have excellent pools complete with water slides and cannons that dump water on you. The cafeteria is located in a separate building by a gift shop. There are huge umbrellas on a deck so you can eat outside and stay cool. The rooms are very nice and more upscale than the budget rooms. My only complaint is the resort is very spread out. It is organized into different Caribbean islands, and to get to the food court, you have to walk some ways. However, the path is beautifully landscaped with tropical plants and it makes for a lovely stroll. Tips: If you want to see fireworks from the theme park, go over by Aruba! The lake by the Aruba section has stunning views. 1/14/2017 0 Comments POP CENTURYPrice: Budget
Rate: 8 Description: This resort is themed around pop culture from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Each building area is a different decade and is decorated accordingly featuring the iconic movies from each decade. This resort has multiple pools and is loads of fun for everyone. It has a nostalgic feel to it, and anyone who has lived in the 20th century will have an appreciation for the resort. In the main lobby area, there is a cafeteria style food court, and also a small section where you can purchase salads, juices, fruits, parfaits, desserts, and fresh baked goods- all made at Disney Springs. Additionally, there is a gift shop. The rooms are in separate buildings, and this is one of the downsides of the resort. You have to park in a parking lot by your decade and then walk from there to the building your room is in. The hallways are all outdoors, and to get to the pools, lobby, and food court, you have to walk outdoors with little to no covering in the rain. It is spread out and can take up to ten minutes to get to where you need to be. Tips: The pools here are all so much fun, but the Hippie Dippie Pool is by far the best. Cast members interact with everybody and there is games and music and activities for guests on the deck. Also, be sure to check out the arcade for a look back at some video games and new favorites. If your kids get bored, they have a couch and small room off the main lobby where a movie is always playing. |
